This is an important update for families of the Class of 2025: Due to the forecast for cold temperatures, steady rain, and wind during graduation, we have made the difficult decision to move the ceremony indoors to the high school gymnasium. While we always prefer to hold graduation on the football field, tomorrow’s weather simply will not allow for a comfortable experience for all attendees. The ceremony will still take place on Friday, May 23, with doors opening at 5:00 PM and the ceremony beginning at 6:00 PM. No tickets are required, and students are not limited on the number of guests. However, we ask that extended family and friends use standing or back seating areas to allow closer seating for immediate family. The ceremony will also be live streamed on our school’s Facebook page for anyone who prefers to watch from home. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2025.

This is a reminder that tomorrow, May 20th, TCHS will conduct spring benchmarking assessments for freshman and sophomore students. Only 9th and 10th grade students need to report to school that day. Juniors and any seniors not on the senior trip will participate in remote learning, with assignments provided in advance by their teachers. We ask families to help us get the most accurate data possible by ensuring that our freshman and sophomore students arrive on time, are well-rested, and are ready to do their best.

Tuesday, April 8, 2025, is SAT school day for junior students. On that day, only junior students will need to report to TCHS. Freshmen, sophomores, and senior students will have a remote learning day that day. Classwork will be provided to students before that day or posted on Google Classroom. Seniors are also encouraged to use that day to complete any remaining job shadowing or community service hours required for graduation. Junior parents, please help us demonstrate the potential of TCHS students by ensuring that your student attends school on time on April 8th and gets a good night’s rest the night before.

Tucker County families please pay attention: This is NEW for us…. All Tucker County Schools will be operating on a 3 hour delay tomorrow 2/21/25. The frigid windchills are set to last longer in the early morning hours and this will also allow our state road additional time to treat the roads. If conditions do not improve and another call has to be issued, it will be sent out in the morning. Again all Tucker County Schools will operate on a 3 hour delay tomorrow.
