TCHS Families:
Time is running out to purchase the 2025 Tucker County High School yearbook. Order your yearbook from JostensYearbooks.com before April 30th to guarantee your student a copy and to save the memories of this special school year.
Tuesday, April 8, 2025, is SAT school day for junior students. On that day, only junior students will need to report to TCHS. Freshmen, sophomores, and senior students will have a remote learning day that day. Classwork will be provided to students before that day or posted on Google Classroom. Seniors are also encouraged to use that day to complete any remaining job shadowing or community service hours required for graduation.
Junior parents, please help us demonstrate the potential of TCHS students by ensuring that your student attends school on time on April 8th and gets a good night’s rest the night before.
Report cards were sent home with all students today. Please ask your student to show you their report card. If they do not have it, you may call the school to request a copy. Students who were absent today will receive their report cards on Monday. If you have specific questions about a grade, please call the school to speak with the teacher or contact them directly through LiveGrades or by email, which can be found on our school website.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held this Wednesday March 26th from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at the high school. This is a great opportunity to meet with your student’s teachers and discuss their progress. Attention DTEMS and TCHS students who ride Julie Hull’s bus (19A). It will not be running tomorrow (3/12). If you can get your student to school please do so, if not it will be an excused absence, just contact the school secretary and let them know the bus did not run. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We encourage you to check the TCHS website at least once a week under Students, Scholarship Information for newly posted scholarship applications and deadlines. New ones were added today.
Additionally, the FAFSA remains open for seniors needing financial aid for any postsecondary education this fall. If you need assistance completing the FAFSA, please call the school at (304) 478-2651, and we will be happy to help.

Attention TVEMS and TCHS students who ride Clayton’s bus (10b). It will not be running in the morning (2/25), but will be able to run in the afternoon. Update: All Tucker County Schools will now be closed today 2/21/25. This will be a makeup day added on in June.
Tucker County families please pay attention: This is NEW for us….
All Tucker County Schools will be operating on a 3 hour delay tomorrow 2/21/25. The frigid windchills are set to last longer in the early morning hours and this will also allow our state road additional time to treat the roads. If conditions do not improve and another call has to be issued, it will be sent out in the morning.

Hello, this is Tucker County High School with an important reminder for senior families. The FAFSA and Promise Scholarship application deadlines are quickly approaching on March 1st.
TCHS encourages all seniors considering any post-secondary opportunities, including four-year colleges, two-year colleges, technical schools, or trade schools, to complete the FAFSA and apply for the Promise Scholarship before the deadline.

Senior families: Graduation is fast approaching, and it's time to order caps and gowns. If you have not yet placed an order, please do so as soon as possible at the link provided on our Facebook page or website.

Bus number 18 a will start his run today at Bob Cooper's due to a tractor-trailer being stuck on slip hill. If your child cannot be picked up due to the tractor trailer blockage please contact the school so that the absence doesn't count against them.
