If you have been out to watch your undefeated Tucker County Mountain Lions football team this fall, you may have spotted the TCHS pep band returning to the stands of R. H. Armstrong Memorial Field. TCHS is thankful and proud to have these students and their fearless leader, Ms. Osborne, represent us and help us get this program back up and going. They may be small, but they sound terrific!

TCHS Students: A house contest will be held on the 1st day of school to see which house has the most members wear their colored house bracelet. Sophomore through senior students received these bracelets last year, and incoming freshman received these bracelets during 8th grade move-up day last year. Staff members should also participate. Also, juniors and seniors who picked up their driving contracts yesterday at the back to school event can drive to school on Monday if they bring their contract, payment, license, and insurance to school with them on Monday.

Junior and senior students will have a remote learning day tomorrow. Classwork should have been provided to students or will be posted on Google Classroom. Seniors are also encouraged to use tomorrow as the last opportunity to complete any remaining job shadowing or community service hours required for graduation. Prior to spring break, report cards were distributed. Any student who was absent that day received their report card yesterday. If you did not receive your student's report card, please call the school at (304) 478-2651, and we will ensure that you receive a copy of your student's third 9 weeks report card.

Earlier today, it was brought to the attention of the TCHS administration that there were concerns over social media posts made outside of school. Those posts were investigated immediately by the Tucker County Sheriff’s Office, and they were able to determine that no threat existed and all students were safe.

Attention: please share for our Aurora students: Bus 19A (Alan Kidwell’s bus) can only go as far as Mt. Grove Church this morning due to a road closure. If you can get your students to school, he can bring them home today. If not, it will be an excused absence, just contact the school and let the secretary know.
